Russian Hardcore DJ Or-Beat

DJ BIOGRAPHY:

Started DJing at the age of 16 at local house parties. First major appearance was back in 1994 at the party held at the Moscow State Univercity.

Huge breakthrough came in 1995 when Or-Beat became a host of his own hardcore show on the new dance radio "Stanzia 106.8 FM".

In 1995 played many gigs together with DJ's like Paul Elstak, Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo, Mark Oh, and many others at the MDM Club (was the biggest venue in Moscow, approx. 5,000 people).

Winter 1996 - Guest performance at the 1st Russian DMC DJ Championship.
Winter - Spring 1996 - Host DJ at the first series of extreme dance music parties at the D.O.J. Club. July 1996 - DJ set at the first festival of Exterme music " U.P." held in Estonia.

July 1996 - April 1997 - Host DJ and promoter of weekly hardcore/gabber parties in the Aquatoria dance club. Label "Orbital Station" is born.

Masters of Extreme party (Moscow, May 2000)

5 October 1996 - Organizer of the 1-st "Hardcore VS. Jungle" rave event (1,300 people made it in the club, about the same number of couldn't get inside bacause the venue was too small for demand). 28 December 1996 - Hardcore VS. Jungle - 2 (half of the people couldn't get in again).

DJ Or-Beat voted # 1 DJ among Russian club goers (December 1996).

April 1997 - Guest star appearance at the Dynamica Rave (4,000 people).
9 May 1997 - Host & Organizer of the "Hardcore VS. Jungle - 3" ( 3,500 people) - MDM club.
27 June 1997 - Organizer and guest star at the 1-st Russian outdoor dance festival "InStanzia" held in Gorky Park (45,000 people).

28 June 1997 - Guest star at the "MK" Newspaper festival (!!! 500,000 people)

August 1997 - DJ set at the KaZantyp Dance Festival , held at the unfinished Soviet Nuclear Power Plant near the Azov Sea (10,000 people).

September 1997 - "Stolitca Rave" at Gorky Park (300,000 people).

September 1997 - April 1998 - Host star and organizer of the 3-rd series of hardcore parties at the DK MAI Club. 28 December 1997 - "Hardcore Heaven" (UK) party in Moscow. Host & Organizer.

8 May 1998 - "Hardcore VS. Jungle - 4" (3,700 people).
28 June 1998 - " InStanziya 2 " (50,000 people).
10 August 1998 - Own Stage at KaZantyp (Russian analogue of Ibiza).

Some highlights include: September 1998 - April 1999 - Organizer and DJ at the parties in the following clubs: MDM, Tzekh, Shosse, Titanic, Center! and many others. 5 March 1999 - "Extreme Masters", extreme Sport & Music festival presented by Burton snowboards (4,000 people). Guest Star & Organizer. 27 March 1999 - " Rainbow " Free world dance festival sponsored by the GreenPeace. 9 April 1999 - Official presentation of russian release " The Dirtchamber Sessions " by Liam Howlett ( Prodigy ). Guest Star & Organizer. 7 May 1999 - " Hardcore VS. Jungle - 5 " (over 4,000 people). 21 May 1999 - "Stop Aids" outdoor festival. 17 July 1999 - "InStanzia - Music 2000" held in Gorky Park (60,000 people)

During his DJ carreer that spans over a decade, Or-Beat played hundreds of DJ-sets all over the world at the dance events such as InStanzia (Moscow), Communism (Toronto), Gatekeeper II (Canada), Red Alert (Québec), NYE @ Love Arena (Switzerland), WEMF (Canada), Orbital Station: Overload (Zona, Moscow), Welcome To Hell (Holland) and many more.
